A Nation Transformed: Vision 2030
رؤية ٢٠٣٠ - أمة تتحول
Saudi Vision 2030 represents the most comprehensive national transformation program in modern history. Launched in April 2016 by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Vision 2030 is a strategic framework designed to reduce Saudi Arabia's dependence on oil, diversify its economy, and develop public service sectors including health, education, infrastructure, recreation, and tourism. The vision is built on three pillars: a vibrant society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation.
Economic Diversification Goals
أهداف التنويع الاقتصادي
Vision 2030's economic targets are transformative: increasing non-oil government revenue from SAR 163 billion to SAR 1 trillion, raising the private sector's contribution to GDP from 40% to 65%, reducing unemployment from 11.6% to 7%, and increasing FDI from 3.8% to 5.7% of GDP. The Public Investment Fund is being grown to over $2 trillion in assets, making it the world's largest sovereign wealth fund.
The Role of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
دور ولي العهد
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) is the architect and driving force behind Vision 2030. His leadership has accelerated reforms at an unprecedented pace: opening Saudi Arabia to international tourism, launching the entertainment sector, empowering women in the workforce, modernizing the legal system, and attracting billions in foreign investment. Under his direction, mega-projects like NEOM, The Line, and the Red Sea Project are being built from scratch.
